Villa X was designed based on a cruciform (X) floor plan, with the main axis placing the living spaces centrally. The dark volume floats on two sides: above the garage entrance and on the other side above the kitchen and living room, which is detached from ground level.
The rear facade is covered with glass facing the views and bakyard, the pitched roof reinforces it by tilting backwards, giving a greater opening to the sky and creating a stronger connection with the outdoors allowing natural light to enter the house all day as it’s facing north.
Elevated functions
This floating volume is located in the back wing of the house and it hosts two important social funtions, the kitchen and the dinning area. At the end of this volume we are completely surrounded by glass which, added to the sensation of being elevated, connects us strongly with the nature that surrounds the house.

Villa X is strongly characterized by its dark and closed tones, especially in the strong volume that floats over the garage entrance, however, a natural stone with tranquile tones appears as a slab and continues to both side walls of the villa and is again seen in the void crossing the two floors.
The
Void
A central void that connects the main and lower level is the focus of the interior. This element creates two side corridors that run the length of the house and is used as a distribution center for the house’s functions.
Garden
design
The garden desing is created by taking into account the lines of the house and let them create the functions and paths.
